12 inches of snow later...

Landon does NOT like walking in snow that is up to his thigh!!!
All he had to say was, "go inside" and "carry me!"

Shiloh, on the other hand, is much like her mom - she loves snow! =)

Wild Turkeys, Mice and a Snowman

Recently, we have had wild turkeys running around our back yard. Too bad we weren't quick enough to catch one before Thanksgiving dinner!

We also found a resident mouse (mice) who have taken nicely to living in my pantry ... eating our chocolate. We happily caught one the first night at home with a mouse trap. They fall for it every time, don't they! =)

And today, we awoke to a winter wonderland. It's beautiful! Naturally, the kids wanted to play in the snow ... which was wet enough to build a snowman ... the first one of the year.

Happy Turkey Day!

I hope you have a very happy thanksgiving day...
wherever you are and whatever you may be doing.

Blogging Blues

I just have not felt like blogging ...
I haven't been reading blogs
and obviously, I haven't been posting either.

We've been doing the usual ...
playing outside,
going to church,
going to play dates,

I've been working on my Bradley book reports
and Christmas shopping.

Not much to tell really ....
But I have some posted some recent pics below.

Tree decorating in Big Fork

We had a fun day - watching the "elves" decorate downtown Big Fork... poking around in the shops and galleries ... with a grand finale of the "tree lighting"

Downtown Kalispell

The trees downtown are amazing - reminds me of the Washington park area in Denver. It's awesome in the fall!

Conrad Mansion -a "historic landmark"... built in the 1800's.
This is the Central School Museum, where Elevation meets on Sunday mornings.

"Bubba Teeth"

How does one get their 3 1/2 year old to stop sucking their thumb?

For Shiloh, all it took was a little healthy fear of getting "bubba teeth."

We are now on day #3 with NO thumb sucking!
YIPEE!

Home sweet Home

Yes, I am home.
I've been enjoying Steve and my kids.
I missed them so much!
And I haven't been on the computer much since I got home.
I guess I've been tired! ... shocker!

I loved the Bradley training ...
and now have 4 books reports to write
and 2 hospitals to visit ...
before I can begin teaching.
I hope to teach my first class in January.
"hope" is the key word. =)

Meanwhile,
our church had it's "grand opening" this past Sunday
and we had 100 people there!
(regular attendance has been around 40!)
We were incredibly encouraged!
God is doing awesome things in our midst.

Birth stories

I have never heard so many birth stories

or seen so many births on video ...

It's amazing ... seeing the miracle of childbirth!
I cry at nearly every video!
Ah - Our God is indeed a mighty creator!

Dallas - Bradley Training

A small, dark conference room w/out windows ...
in the middle of a big, fat city ...
here I sit, learning how to become a childbirth instructor.

Other than entering the 1st phase of information overload -
and not seeing much outside -
it's nice to be here and I'm really excited about what this time in Dallas will bring to the future of our lives as we help other women have a natural childbirth.

Don't worry, I won't write any gorey details. =-)
